Monthly Macro Wrap

Aditi Nayar reviews the RBI MPC decision, which kept the repo rate and policy stance unchanged amid global and weather-related uncertainties. While GDP growth forecasts were revised down and inflation forecasts up, stronger-than-expected FY2026 GDP data has prompted ICRA to project FY2027 GDP growth at 6.5% and inflation at 5.1%.
